The Glow Bar – Feature Friday

Written By Morgan Knox

Harford County native, Chloe Corkran, has made the best of her Covid experience! At just 20 years old she has started her own skin care business, The Glow Bar. Corkran became a licensed esthetician at the Aveda Institute in Bel Air where she was a full-time student straight out of high school. In August 2019, she started working at the skin bar in Ulta. When January hit, she decided to depart from the store and try to branch out on her own. With a few obstacles to tackle, in June, Corkran found My Salon Suite in Bel Air and decided to call that home for The Glow Bar.

Corkran knew that she has so much to offer want wanted to provide women of all ages with affordable skin care. “I offer everything to everyone,” Corkran stated. She sees clients from the ages of 19 to 55 and she works with them on creating custom skin care routines that won’t break the bank. Her other main focuses are on waxing, lashes (lifts and tints), and brow lamination. She offers corrective skin care and is very “results driven.” Another service at The Glow Bar is dermaplaning, an exfoliating treatment that removes peach fuzz and dead skin cells from the face. All of these services are to provide you with the best possible skin care so that you can feel like a healthier you.

“If you don’t have goals, where are you going?” Corkran’s motto drives her passion for skin care and beauty. She is always learning about new services she can provide and how she can best service her clients. Relationships are key. The 5-year plan for The Glow Bar is to become a fullservice beauty bar.
