Feature Friday – Falling Star Parties

Written By Morgan Knox

Since she was little, Katelyn Blomquist has always had an admiration for Disney. In 2018, she created her very own magical experience, right here in Harford County, called Falling Star Parties LLC. Katelyn grew up moving from state to state, but when it came time for high school, her family had found a home in Bel Air.

Coming from a strong theatre background, Katelyn wanted to bring her own vision and structure to characters that she was creating. Although based in Harford County, she travels to wherever she may need to brighten someone’s day. The idea behind Falling Star Parties is simple, put a smile on these children’s faces and create magical memories with them. During Covid-19, Falling Star Parties went virtual to ensure that the children still got to meet the princess of their choosing. “The kids are loving it and we are thankful for the technology and resources to be able to do that for them,” Blomquist proclaimed.

One thing that Falling Star Parties Offers is a live stream subscription service that allows children to connect with a different princess every week! You can also find the princesses at the Dance Conservatory, the Harford County Public Library, and a few other locations around town. They were also a part of The Night to Shine with The Tim Tebow Foundation.
