Taylor Nicole Fashion – Feature Friday

Written By Morgan Knox

Did you know that every year, billions of used articles of clothing are thrown away to make room for the new ones? Clothes can take up to 40 years to decompose which has a very harmful effect on our environment. So, this week I sat down with Taylor Berry, owner and founder of Taylor Nicole Fashion, who has a passion for repurposing clothing.

Even at a young age, Taylor developed a love for fashion. She took sewing classes at Joann’s and eventually made the dress at the age of 12 that she would wear to a wedding. As Tik Tok emerged, she saw that repurposing clothing was getting more and more popular. So, she got back to work and starting thrifting. “It’s nice to give clothing a new life,” Taylor told me. She creates amazing designs on t-shirts, sweatshirts, and even jackets. She can even create little designs using the Cricut. One shirt at a time, Taylor hopes to continue to recycle and repurpose clothing, as well as get rid of the stigma to thrift shopping. You can find Taylor on Etsy as well as at the Belle Aire Market on July 11th. She offers local delivery to people who may see something they like on her page so be sure to check her out Harford County!
