Spring 2021 Organizing Ideas

Written By Andrew Ward

As warmer weather rolls in, the idea of spring cleaning naturally pops into our heads. Although it is not our intention to purposely avoid this yearly task, it happens to the best of us. Wondering where and how to start can be daunting, so we’ve put together a list of suggestions and tips to help ease you into a cleaner room, house, or lifestyle!

-Maximize your available space:

Organization and cleaning becomes easier with additional space. Clutter and items that can be stored make for a difficult working environment!

-Pick a space to start with, and stick to it:

Once you start with one area, you’ll get into a kick and move onto others once you finish. Don’t overthink it and jump around—you’ll eventually reach everywhere!

-Spray, wipe, scrub, dry:

Clean everywhere and anywhere you can think of, with one room at a time. Dust as many spots as possible!

-Tidy up the cords and electronics:

Chaotic, messy cords throughout the house are enough to stress anyone out. Figure out a dedicated home for your loose cords and electronic devices and say goodbye to hunting around for your phone charger.

-Tackle your closet:

Forget your frustrating mornings unable to find what you need when you need it most. Organize your clothes and accessories within your closet for easier living. Try to donate any old clothes that either don’t fit or aren’t worn any longer!)

-A clean kitchen is a key to success:

Focus on deep-cleaning your kitchen, as this is likely one of the messiest areas in the house. Where we cook and eat our food deserves special treatment!

-Add plants or art after the tough jobs:

New artwork or greenery in your living space can give a refreshed feeling to any room. Don’t be afraid to stray away from any dated decorations!

Getting started is never easy, but the end result is always worth it! If you are interested in more ideas and ways to organize around the house this spring, take a look at these articles:
