Rooted in Community: Richardson’s Florist Blooms Beyond Flowers

Written By Morgan Knox

Richardson’s Florist has been a staple in the Bel Air community and beyond since 1947. A place to turn to for any occasion and truly kept the community at the forefront of the business.

Continuing to build a community focused business, there have been a few fantastic additions to the showroom standing on South Main Street. Now when you enter Richardson’s, you can support local artisans! Pair that with a floral bouquet, and you have the perfect gift to give for any occasion.

Some of the vendors include handmade soaps, lavender products, handmade throw blankets, watercolor art, knitted stuffed animals, and hand painted canvas and wine glasses. There is truly something for everyone in Richardson’s!

“It was an important addition to incorporate into the business because we want to showcase the people in our community who are creative and crafty,” stated Jon, one of the helping hands at Richardson’s.

They have also formed a partnership with a foster care non-profit to have vendors come in and teach their crafts to the children. Keep a look out for events and other amazing vendors coming to Richardson’s.
