The Historical Society of Harford County hosted their second inaugural Sports Hall of Fame Dinner on Wednesday, May 21st at Maryland Golf and Country Club. It was there the announcement of the newest exhibit coming to town. The Harford County Sports Archive!
The Historical Society of Harford County, Inc., established at the County Courthouse in 1885, is the oldest county historical society in Maryland. Their goal is to preserve, protect, and promote the unique history and heritage of the county. The new exhibit will feature a rotating collection of pieces from the inductees that have been inducted into the Harford Sports Hall of Fame.
The Historical Society hopes to have the collection curated and on display within the next year. In the meantime, you can visit the Historical Society of Harford County to see all of the amazing artifacts that have been donated and collected over time. There are pieces from the old Bel Air Race Track, clothing dating back to the early 1900’s, artwork from some of the most famous locations in Harford County, and so much more.
