Hair by Sophia Musto – Feature Friday

Written By Morgan Knox

“I want to spread love and light like sunshine to people.” That is Sophia Musto, owner and operator of Hair by Sophia Musto believes she was meant to do. She was born to be a hairstylist but she also offers soul care to her clients.

2020 hasn’t exactly handed us lemons, but somehow Musto managed to make lemonade. She opened her own store front and developed her own subscription box called Zensetter. She joined an educational program called Workshop in a Box and hired a business coach to help her get started. “I knew from a young age that this is what I wanted to do,” Musto declared. She personalizes each box based on what the client might be in need of. She prides herself on the relationships she is able to build with the people that come through the door or send kind words on social media. You don’t have to be a client to order the subscription box!

One thing Musto prides herself on is supporting small and local businesses by adding their products to the box. For example, she partnered with Aroma Candle Studio to create her own scent, Namaste and Hairspray. Her custom candles can be found in the Zensetter. Musto and her children hand spin their own crystals at home and bundle their own smudging kits. She had her own custom pins made and with the purchase of a pin, she donates a percentage of the proceeds to The Trevor Project

There are custom stickers and affirmation cards, there is hair care products and customized face masks. These Zensetter boxes have so much to offer! Think of it as your FabFitFun box but better because you get some local flavor in there as well as showing support to other small businesses. Musto is a hairstylist that is going to change the world.
