Football

Fallston Varsity Football

Returners/Newcomers:

Our varsity expects to  have 19 returning players and  17 newcomers this season. 

Players to Watch:

Key players to watch are Michael Griffin/Junior/QB; Zach Loewe/Senior/WR/FS; Cole Shea/Senior/OL/DL; Finn Rebasti/Senior/LB/TE. 

Team Strengths:

Our biggest strengths are QB, WR, Defensive Secondary. 

Areas of Focus:

We are focusing on improving Offensive Line and Running Back. 

Season Outlook/Goals:

Our goals/expectations for this season are to be a disciplined team that is hard-nosed and hard to beat. The schedule is much tougher this year and we lost a lot, but we expect to compete in every single game and make a strong run in the post-season again. 

Patterson Mill Varsity Football

Our varsity expects to have 21 returning players and 14 newcomers this season.

Our biggest strengths are the team unity and willingness to play hard for each other.

We are focusing on improving on our new offensive scheme while maintaining the strengths of our defense from last season.

Season Outlook/Goals:

Our goals/expectations for this season are to attempt to be competitive in a difficult UCBAC schedule against many larger schools.

Team Strengths:

Backfield, Anthony Hall and Cameron Durbin accounted for 1,000 all purpose yards each in ’24. Our biggest strengths are team chemistry.

Areas of Focus:

Up Tempo and creating turnovers

CMW Varsity Football

Our varsity expects to have 19 returning players and 18 newcomers this season.

Team Strengths:

Our biggest strengths are that we have a very close-knit team that is showing a lot of team chemistry and a desire to do what is necessary to be successful.  We also have some depth in some areas that we may have previous lacked that depth

Areas of Focus:

We are focusing on improving the discipline to play a complete 48 minutes of football every Friday night

Season Outlook/Goals:

Our goals/expectations for this season are to find something to get to work at each and every day to make us better individual football players, better people and a better football team.  To go 1-0 each week, for nine separate weeks.

Season Outlook/Goals:

The Bel Air Bobcats coaching staff is very excited about the mix of youth and Senior leadership that has been displayed so far this year.  We like the progress that has been made so far and are excited about where the team is headed. We look forward to improving every single day and watching these student athletes compete this season. 

 

Field Hockey

Aberdeen Varsity Field Hockey

Key players to watch are Alexis Gasiorowski- Inner- 10th grade/ Sarah Boone-Center Back-Senior and Parneet Waraich-wing-10th grade (name/position/grade). 

Team Strengths: 

Our biggest strengths are our ability to communicate on and off the field 

Areas of Focus:

We are focusing on improving in general- we have more new girls than returning

North Harford Varsity Field Hockey 

Returners/Newcomers:

Our varsity expects to  have  9 returning players and 8 newcomers this season. 

Players to Watch:

Key players to watch are Lola Minor, Senior, attack and Caroline Ward, Senior, defense (name/position/grade). 

Team Strengths:

Our biggest strengths are our speed and feistiness.  

Areas of Focus:

We are focusing on improving on playing as a cohesive unit.

Our goals/expectations for this season are to be top contenders in the county and the region. 

Bel Air Varsity Field Hockey 

Returners/Newcomers:

Our varsity expects to have 8 returning players and 12 newcomers this season.

Players to Watch:

Amelia Mason              Senior               Midfield            8 goals, 5 assists last year

Amelia is a three-year varsity starter. She plays midfield for us because she has excellent ball control.  She helps steer our team.

Avery Frank                   Senior               Forward            4 goals, 2 assists last year

Avery is a four-year starter.  She has a lot of grit and a lot of drive and we count on her to get the job done.

Kate Gaughan              Senior               Forward            4 goals

Kate is great in front of the goal.  Her job is to find the back of the goal and she does it well.

Annie Donahue            Senior               Defender

Annie is the leader of our defense.  She steers our backfield.

Annabelle Shylanski Sophomore     Midfield

Annabelle is a sophomore who we expect big things from this year.  She is fast and smart with the ball.

Team Strengths: 

Our biggest strengths are speed in our midfield, consistent effort, and great communication.

Areas of Focus:

We are focusing on improving of ball movement.

Our goals/expectations for this season are improving our game, having a winning season, and having fun.

Soccer

Aberdeen Boys Varsity Soccer

We are focusing on improving chemistry and finishing in the final 3rd. 

Season Outlook/Goals:

With this being my first season coaching varsity, we are working on eliminating mental errors on the field and using our talent to improve on our record from last year. 

Patterson Mill Boys Varsity Soccer 

Returners:

Our varsity expects to  have 15 returning players and 6 newcomers this season.

Team Strength:

Our biggest strengths are going to be our team chemistry and work ethic.  We have a hard working team that can attack goal and recover to defend as a team.  Our senior class is a tight group and will go out and play hard for each other.

Areas of Focus:

We are focusing on improving on our set pieces, penalty kicks, and not turning the ball over on our defensive half.

Season Outlook/Goals:

Our goals/expectations for this season are to compete in every game, train and play with passion, be positive and support each other, and represent our school community in a positive way!

 

CMW Girls Varsity Soccer 

Returners/Newcomers:

Our varsity expects to have 8 returning players and 12 newcomers this season. 

Players to Watch:

  • Mackenzi Milich – Defense – 12th (currently injured) 
  • Sophia Adams – Midfield – 12th (currently injured) 
  • Sohpia Hodges – Defense – 12th 

Team Strengths:

Our biggest strength will be in possession of the ball. We are a young team but VERY high soccer IQ. We are a selfless team that involves everyone. Collectively we’ll defend and attack well. So far the team has gelled very nicely together, with all 20 athletes contributing. 

Areas of Focus:

We are focusing on improving taking chances in the attacking 1/3 of the field. We’re figuring out how to be creative together and create scoring opportunities from our possession game. 

Season Outlook/Goals:

Our goals/expectations for this season are: We’re looking to finding our identity in the early season. Losing 10 seniors and many dynamic players on a State Finalist Team, we’re looking for individual athletes to take the step forward to lead this young group. I know we will be competitive in matches because we have some very brave and athletic players. We’re looking forward to the competitive grind that the UCBAC provides and earning as many wins as possible.

• #16 Ruby Reddel – Senior Striker with a relentless drive and a nose for the goal. • #10 Kasey Resh – Senior Defensive Midfielder, the anchor of our midfield and a true field general. • #13 Victoria Goad – Senior Defender, fearless and dependable in the back line. • #5 Sophie O’Hagan – Sophomore Midfielder, dynamic and creative with a bright future ahead. • #18 Rachel Harding – Junior Midfielder, versatile and tenacious, always ready to make a difference. We’re focusing on improving our tactical identity: how we play in possession, out of possession, and during transitions—both attacking and defensive. Throughout the season, we’ll refine this style of play, maintain match fitness, and prioritize proper recovery to sustain performance. 

Season Outlook/Goals:

Our goals/expectations for this season are to be the most organized, disciplined, and team-oriented program in the conference. We aim to win by ensuring every player understands and executes our system with precision and purpose.

We are focusing on improving WE ARE RELATIVELY YOUNG SO GETTING GAME MINUTES FOR OUR YOUNGER PLAYERS IS KEY 

Season Outlook/Goals:

Our goals/expectations for this season are TO IMPROVE ON LAST YEAR’S SEASON.  WE FEEL WE FELL SHORT OF OUR GOALS LAST SEASON AND ALTHOUGH WE ARE A YOUNG TEAM, WE HAVE EXTREMELY HIGH EXPECTATIONS FOR THIS SEASON.

Key players to watch are Anna Tackett GK 12, Alyssa Foote MID 12, Addison Bullinger MID 11, Ava Tischler DEF 12, Madison Birth MID 11, Savannah Barry MID 10.

Team Strengths:

Our biggest strengths is strong character young ladies that work well together.

Areas of Focus:

We are focusing on improving our possession game and creativity in finishing in the attacking third.

Season Outlook/Goals:

Our goals/expectations for this season are to compete with relentless effort, game in and game out, and allow the process to dictate the outcome.

Volleyball

CMW Boys Volleyball 

Returners/Newcomers:

Our varsity expects to  have 6 returning players and newcomers this season. 

Players to Watch:

Key players to watch are Brody Hichkad (Outside Hitter, Senior), Ben Silcox (Outside Hitter, Senior), Mason Crouch (Middle, Senior), and Andreas Dapo (Setter, Senior).   

Team Strengths:

Our biggest strengths are a strong returning core of hard hitters.  They have experience at scoring points and are positioned to demonstrate that ability this year.  With multiple hitting options, it will be difficult for opponents to defend them all.   

Areas of Focus:

We are focusing on improving our defense.  It is difficult to have a great offense in volleyball unless you also have defense that can set it all up with good passes.   

Season Outlook/Goals:

Our goals/expectations for this season are to be a contender for the county championship.  There are several good teams that can contend, and we want to be one of them.   

Fallston Girls Volleyball 

Returners/Newcomers:

Our varsity expects to  have 10 returning players and  4 newcomers this season.

Players to Watch:

Key players to watch are Mary Pfaff, Libero, Sr; Sloane Mister, OH, Jr.; Natalie Gross, Opp, Sr.(name/position/grade).

Team Strengths:

Our biggest strengths are blocking and serving.

Areas of Focus:

We are focusing on improving serve receive and defense.   

Season Outlook/Goals:

Our goals/expectations for this season are to compete for the UCBAC and Regional Championship.

Patterson Mill Boys Volleyball:

Our varsity expects to have five returning players and five newcomers this season.

Key players to watch are Cullen Young / Outside/ 12th grade, Konnor White / Outside / 10th grade, and Brady Newell / Right Side / 11th grade. 

Team Strengths:

Our biggest strengths are positivity and dedication. 

Areas of Focus:

We are focusing on improving court awareness. 

Season Outlook/Goals:

Our goals/expectations for this season are to have fun. 

Bel Air Girls Volleyball: 

Returners/Newcomers:

Our varsity expects to  have 8 returning players and 7 newcomers this season.

Players to Watch: 

Key players to watch are Annalise Lewis, RS/OS, Senior, Emma Duvall, S, Senior, Hayden Hardenbrook, OS, Senior, Macie Kane, MB, Junior (name/position/grade).

Team Strengths:

Our biggest strengths are we are a committed group with experience and a nose for the ball; we are balanced on offense with strong hitting options and defense with several strong defenders.

Areas of Focus:

We are focusing on improving our consistency and reducing unforced errors.

Season Outlook/Goals:

  1. Our goals/expectations for this season are to compete for an UCBAC championship and to advance deep into the state tournament and hopefully even to a state title! The Girls Volleyball program at Bel Air High School has been the team to beat for the last 6 years in the UCBAC conference.  Since 2017 the program has won 79 of its 89 conference matches. The Bobcats have won 6 consecutive regional titles advancing to the final 8 in the class 3A state championships. 

Golf

Fallston High School

Returners/Newcomers:

We have 7 varsity returnees, and 4 new players. Among the 11 members, we have 6 sophomores, 2 juniors, and only 3 seniors.

Players to Watch:

Key players to watch include; Sarai Moss (Sophomore) and Jasper Kilian (Junior).  

Team Strengths:

Our team strengths include youthful experience and depth.

Areas of Focus:

We will focus on improving consistent play throughout the season in every match.   

Season Outlook/Goals:

Our goals and expectations for the season are to continue to gain experience while challenging for county, division and district titles.

CMW High School

Returners/Newcomers:

Our varsity expects to  have 5 returning players and 3 newcomers this season.

Players to Watch:

Key players to watch are Seniors Sean Downey and Ryan Kilchenstein.

Team Strengths:

Our biggest strengths are our depth and experience.

Areas of Focus:

We are focusing on improving consistency and our short game.

Cross Country

CMW High School

Our varsity expects to  have 22 returning runners and 12 newcomers this season.

Team Strengths:

Our biggest strengths are _The Boys team is going to be strong returning all but 1 of the top 7 runners from last year and there is a fair amount of competition for the last varsity spot.

Areas of Focus:

We are focusing on improving _The girls team is top heavy with 4 girls training well early.  There is a big pack of 1st and 2nd year runners that are already showing signs of improvement.

Season Outlook/Goals:

Our goals/expectations for this season are Boys: top 3 at UCBAC, repeat as regional champs, and top 5 at states. Girls: top 3 at UCBAC, top 2 at regions, and top 10 at states.

Bel Air High School

Returners/Newcomers:

The girls team has 2 returning and 8 new athletes.
The boys team has 12 returning and 6 new athletes.

Players to Watch:

Girls to watch are Avery Alliger, Vivianna Sethi, and Madelynn Derossett, Tessa Singelakis.
Boys to watch are Andrew Burstein, Nick Dias, Chase Taylor, Will Gross, Andrew Montalvo, Sebastian Oescher, Garrett Oescher, and Rowan Jones.

Team Strengths:

Girls team strengths are camaradrie and a strong growth potential.
Boys team strengths are experience and comedic relief.

Areas of Focus:

Areas of focus are improving fitness and strength and gaining race experience.

Season Outlook/Goals:

Team Goal is to be highly competitive in our region in both the girls and boys events.
