Aberdeen High School’s Terrez Boothe has committed to play football for the U.S Naval Academy. He looks forward to serving his country and continuing his athletic career.
Boothe held a 3.96 GPA with his AP course load as well as managing to be a quick study on the football field. Boothe is “a leader on the field, in the hallways, and the classroom,” Athletic Director and coach Tim Lindekamp said.
Playing both offense and defensive, Boothe was one of three students to make the All-County teams on both sides of the ball. Congratulations to Terrez!
Karl Edwards is one of the area’s most prolific athletes of the 80’s. Growing up with his brother in the rough and tumble area of Harford County referred to as Lower Aberdeen (LA), Karl and his brother, Keith, were raised by their Father.
John Thornton is a 4x Maryland State medalist and two-time state champion, including an undefeated state championship season in 1999 for C. Milton Wright High School with a record of 36-0.
In early November of 2015, I was trying to figure out my role in wrestling after 27 years coaching. 6 months earlier, my John Carroll Wrestling team placed 5th at Nationals, by far the best finish ever by a team from NE Maryland, and my 2nd time being named MD Coach of the Year. I ran across a story about a new movie about wrestling on social media and decided to look into the cast and storyline.
