  • Bel Air High School’s football team traveled to Annapolis and ended the Bobcats 16 game losing streak, 14-0.
  • At the Colonial Acres Bicycle Rodeo, Jim Phillips of 11 Colonial Acres Rd, Bel Air, set the Harford Co record for riding a ‘wheelie’ 177 ft 4 inches.
  • In semi-pro football action, the Baltimore Eagles were led by former John Carroll Qb, Al Neville, as they pounded the York Red Lions 56-6 . The Eagles are 5-3 in the International Football League’s Eastern Division, 2nd to Carroll County.
  • QB Carla Musselman directed Bel Air Girl’s Flag Football Travel Team to a 56-6 beating of the Dundalk East squad.  BA’s Ellin Gerety snagged 2 TD passes from Musselman while Shirley Ashburn and Terri Conner each scored 2 td’s carrying ball.
  • Forest Hill Elementary School teacher Pete Anderson’s attempts to set the World Record for Free Throws in 24 hours fell short.  Anderson was 6704 shots made out of 7781 attempts
