In what The Aegis called “the best game ever played here,” the Bel Air ‘Bobkittens” Field Hockey team beat North Harford 2-1 to claim the league championship. Bel Air was led by Jackie French’s 2 goal performance. BA head coach Phyllis Hemmes raised her winning percentage to .919, the highest of all coaches in Harford Co regardless of the sport.

The 5-5 Joppatowne Mariners thumped the Warriors of Havre De Grace 28-0 to advance to the state football playoffs. Joppatowne played Snow Hill in the first round at HCC

Led by the arm and legs of QB Liz Panos, the Wolverines (7-1) claimed the Bel Air Girl’s Flag Football League Championship. During the week, Panos anchored the BA High School field hockey team.

Danny Haynes of Harford Community College was honored as an athletic supporter for his role as manager and score keeper for the Owl football, basketball, and baseball teams. Haynes served as manager of the BAHS Football team for 3 years.
