The youngest of Edgewood High School’s Bradley brothers, Carl “Wee” Bradley, passed away at a basketball tryout at North Harford High School. The brother of Dudley and Charles (Tub) Bradley, Carl was born with a heart defect, which stunted his growth, hence the nickname, “Wee.”

Bel Air’s ‘Bobkittens’ blasted Joppatowne 16-8 in softball action. BA’s Kathy McGrath and Liz Panos homered, while Frannie Szrom and Shirley Ashburn each had 3 hits including a double. BA was 6-0.

Paul Dubyoski and Wayne Ludwig each won two events to help HCC Track win a tri meet against Frederick and Prince George’s County Community Colleges. Ludwig won the both the high hurdle and intermediate hurdle events. Dubyoski earned victory in the javelin and long jump. Dubyoski finished a close second in the triple jump by less than an inch
