- HCC Golf raised its record to 13-0 after beating Montgomery and Prince George’s Community Colleges. Edgewood’s Bruce Stienmiller led the way for the Owls with an average score of 75 so far this season.
- Aberdeen’s Irv Pankey was selected by Olympic Wrestling Coach Joe DeMeo to train with the US Olympic Wrestling Team.
- The 1976 Washington College Baseball team featured 3 starters from Harford County. Dennis Compton from Joppatowne, Kerry Crocken from Bel Air, and Steve Wilkinson from Edgewood.
- After allowing a single to the first batter faced, Edgewood’s Mike Monticello struck out 12 Eastern Vo Tech batters in a row. The game ended on 2 pop ups.
- Former John Carroll lacrosse player Steve Mosko scored 3 goals for the University of Delaware in a 15-12 over defending D3 Champions, Salisbury State. Mosko would go on to become Chairman of Sony Pictures.
