- Harford County’s 1999 football season was without one of the premier match ups of the season, the HdG v CMW game. The 2 teams are annual state contenders. Last season HdG’s 22 man squad won CMW’s homecoming game and were undefeated in regular season action.
- Fallston men’s volleyball easily beat two UCBAC foes in 3 straight. In wins over Bel Air and Havre De Grace, Luke Simon, Tom Leimbach, Stan Warner, and Mike Bradley accounted for almost all of Fallston’s scoring.
- Led by 9 Harford County players, the Villa Julie College Girl’s Soccer Team won its second Ursinus College Invitational. Bel Air’s Nikki Hentz and Adrienne Justis were named to the All Tournament Team. Joppatowne’s Tanya Meeke scored a goal while the goal tending tandem of Lindsay Bugda (BA) and Gina Cinquegrani (CMW) held opponents scoreless.
- In Potomac, MD, Rich Von Nordeck of Jarrettsville and Abingdon’s Sam Rineer took home Angler of the Year title at the Angler’s Choice Team Bass Tournament circuit.
