The Harford Patriots Ice Hockey Team opened its season in dominating style, with an 11-1 win over Bowie. The Patriots fired 54 shots on goal, with 4 of them turning into points by Matthew Sherrod. Teammates Mark Santoni and Matthew Hill each scored twice.

The 3rd Annual Columbus Day Invitational Soccer Tournament featured 247 youth teams playing more than 750 games. The event hosted by the Greater Harford Soccer Club secured 29 Harford County fields with 17,000 spectators from Virginia Beach to Long Island.
