  • CMW’s Patrick Bailey ran “the race of his life” shaving 31 seconds off the Bel Air Cross Country course record. Despite missing 2 turns that required circling back, Bailey was able to break the 11 year old course record.
  • 10 Harford County graduates helped Villa Julie Women’s Soccer to a 13-2-2 record and a bid to the D3 National Tournament. North Harford’s Matt Biederman coached the Lady Mustangs.
  • Bel Air’s Eric Seigel’s 18 year field goal with12 seconds left in their Homecoming game propels the Bobcats past Aberdeen, 17-14.
  • 6-year-old Dylan Brush from Abingdon won the Maryland Open Karate Championship. Brush trained at the Emmorton Park’s and Rec at Ring Factory Elementary. Young Brush managed to also play basketball, soccer and baseball for Emmorton.
  • Forest Hill’s Mary Beth Cochran, a master’s degree student at Notre Dame College, placed 7th at the Florida Ironman, a 140 mile race combing swimming, bicycling and cross country running.  Cochran improved her time by 7 minutes from last year.
