- After 29 years and 14 field hockey state titles as head coach at Fallston High School, Alice Puckett took the helm at John Carroll. The former National Coach of the Year was leading the Lady Pats to a record 9-0.
- Former Fallston football head coach Dave Cesky was inducted into the Maryland Football Coach’s Hall of Fame after 39 years. Cesky became the 5th Harford Co head coach to be inducted. Others were Dave’s father, Al Cesky (BA), Jim Smith (AB), Bud Coakley (ED), and Bill Mackley (JC).
- 38-year-old Shawn Loper from Bel Air won the Island-to-Island Half Marathon in Ocean City. Last year’s champion (and younger brother) Alex Loper finished 7th.
- John Carroll Lacrosse ended their season with 13 wins in a row and an MIAA Conference title. JC beat Glen Elg’s Dragons 17-9
- Harford County teams had an outstanding May with C. Milton Wright, Bel Air, Aberdeen, and Patterson Mill winning regional titles. In Lacrosse, Fallston’s boys and girls team earned spots in the state championship games.
