John Carroll senior Hunter Ritter was National Champion out of a field of 264 wrestlers. Ritter, a three time state champion, placed seventh as a freshman, fourth as sophomore, and was forced to injury default to sixth the previous year at the event held at Lehigh University.

University of MD sophomore Brionna Jones from Aberdeen was named first team All Big10 as a center/forward. The Lady Terps are 27-2 and 18-0 in the Big10. Brionna was drafted #8 overall by the Connecticut Sun.\

The Patterson Mill ladies won their second consecutive 2A State Basketball Championship. In the final game the Huskies routed Oakdale of Fredrick Co 56-44.

The Aegis All County wrestling team was dominated by John Carroll. For the first time ever, one team had 12 of their 14 honored. The Patriots were ranked 32 nationally by USA Wrestling.

The 27th annual Hinte-Anderson 50k Trail Run was held in snow, rain and mud at Susquehanna State Park. 125 of the 402 runners that started did not finish. However, a course record was set by Jackie Palmer of the University of Delaware. Placing 17th, Matt Burdette of Churchville was the top Harford County runner.
