  • Three HCC Women’s Lacrosse players were named JUCO All American: Lauren Haggerty (CMW), Cassidy Jones (Bel Air) and Alice Stroke (Kennard Dale).  Haggerty led the nation with 74 goals and 186 draw controls. Harford won the MD JUCO Championship for the 1st time with a 14-0 record.
  • Bel Air won their 2nd State Baseball Championship in three years by beating Quince Orchard, 8-1. Left-hander Jack Jenkens threw 5 scoreless innings. Liam Bowers started a 6 run sixth inning with a double.
  • More than 1200 runners competed in the 36th Bel Air Town Run. The event was organized by the Renaissance All Sports Athletics Club of Harford County and was created by Bill Blewett and Beryl Flemming.
  • Harford Owls Athletics celebrated their best year ever. HCC went from “worst to 1st” in 10 years, making 6 NJCAA Championship Tournaments in 2015-2016.
  • Havre De Grace’s Immanuel Quickley was named to USA Basketball’s 12 man roster to play in the FIBA World Under 20 basketball championships in Spain.  Quickley played for John Carroll and was named Baltimore Sun Player of the Year.
